I had a lot of fun creating these images. They are all elements that were generated while designing a cover page for a project proposal document. The final design is close to completion and I’ll post it up as soon as it’s done.
I drew a lot of inspiration from some of the images on ffffound. It seems that for a while, there was a surge in the bookmarking of images that featured starfields and triangular elements. I wanted to avoid using the same elements in the way that they were used previously. I then opted for textures and and created a number of vector elements (including the lens) to round out the image.
A large part of the concept came about through a stream of consciousness approach that I took. Most of the time I was aiming to create visually arresting images.
I’ve just completed my 2009 showreel and uploaded it to my Portfolio page. For the music, I made use of a piece of the Munchausen By Proxy track Yes Man.
I’ve just updated my work in the Portfolio section. The latest work I’ve done for DStv, some illustrative work and a few logos are now available for viewing.

These are images of a project I was involved in a while back. It’s one of the few information graphic exercises I have been involved in.

The objective of the project was to display the passage of 20 years using a wayfinding system. The project took shape as a triptych of topographical posters that map the relationship between Historical, Societal and Ideological developments that occurred over the period.

Printed as A2 posters, and I’m pleased with the way the set turned out.
Thanks to those still visiting cmyplay. I’ve been going through a lot lately and I will post about it when appropriate. I’ll leave you with some urban-knowledge dispensed by the best source for such profound advice – a two-man novelty band.
